Happy New Year to you all.
  We had a nice little barbeque with Ricky (our host) and a father and son, Rick & Matt, here from

Wisconsin to lead a short term mission trip for their church (the rest of the people are arriving tonight)

  They bought some firecrackers that we lit out in the street.
  Kinda scary when you see the power in the blast as they lift off into the night(right next to us) and glad they are going the direction intended.

Ricky, Matt, Rick, Pamela and Kelsey headed off for the beach for the day and Robert and I stayed at Ricky's house.
 

Lima sounds pretty quiet.
  The stores are all closed.
  They actually made both the 1st and 2nd national holidays so people can have family get togethers.
  One of their favorite things to do is go camping at the beach for New Years.
  There is plenty of places to go since the beach stretches the entire length of their country.
