As it turns out, Ricky plans to go with us both today and tomorrow to make sure we know our way to and from school.
The man is a patient, sweet spirited, generous, friend and servant of the Lord.
We caught the first bus today that goes to Miraflores since yesterday’s journey took an hour.
We all got on with Ricky barely squeezing in along with the caller at the door.
The next stop one man got off and 3 more got on.
We were like sardines, pressed up tightly against each other.
We were nearly at our stop before we were able to sit down.

The bus system is very interesting.
The buses are owned by the drivers or rented by the drivers.
They belong to an association that lets them know which route to take.
At each stop there is a person (independent from any association) who keeps track of when the buses arrive trying to keep a fifteen minute space between them.
The caller pays these people 20 centimos for their service.
All the maintenance of the bus is left to the owners.
  It is an interesting system.
The cost is not shifted to the tax payers.

In our first day of school Robert and I had a class of about a dozen.
Most of the students are Chinese with a couple Koreans, one Czechoslovakian and one other American (an older woman who has some Spanish already).
Kelsey’s class was similar in nationality.
I found the teacher easy to listen to and having good teaching skills, but I was lost half way through the preliminary lesson.
We did greetings, seasons, days of the week, months of the year, and numbers up to 30.
The difficult part was the questions that were asked with these words that I had a hard time following.
The teacher speaks Spanish 99.9 percent of the time.

Tonight we went to a theater where Ricky filmed a play a friend of his was in.
It was a British satire that, when translated into Spanish, became a comedy.
I couldn’t understand the words but Kelsey explained afterwards that it was about a bride and groom who were given a party the night before their wedding.
At the end of the story the bride ended up liking another man and breaking her engagement.
The scenes were in the lady’s and men’s bathroom where they spoke about their evening and things that were happening at the party.
The theater was very beautiful and it was nice to watch Ricky at his other job.
