God’s Gift of a New Home

God has blessed us with a home of our own.
On January 10th we moved into an apartment in San Luis, Lima.
It is on the 4th floor of a 4 story apartment building.
Though it was built 4 years ago, we are its first occupants.
It is in an area where people have owned their home for many years and is relatively safe.  It is one of few apartments there.  As is true all over Lima, there is a pretty park close by and a small market to buy groceries and a few essentials.  Though we are next to two main streets that are very busy and noisy, it  has a wonderful cross breeze and we get to view beautiful sunsets above the large population of San Luis, Lima.  We are blessed to have a place to invite friends and minstry partners over to share a meal, prayer and fellowship.

Our first night in the apartment, Eugene and Christian stopped in to visit.
Eugene started the AIM base in Tibet, China, and Christian is a peruano from the highlands who has ministered with Eugene for a year and a half.
They both came back to Lima to recruit more peruano missionaries to return to Tibet with them.

At our first meal, our table was graced by Ed McQueen, Ryan & Nicole Richie and Ricky Mavila.
Ed McQueen came recently to help us set up ministry partners to plant churches with the World Race Team.   He spent a year ministering in the Peruvian jungle recently and will be returning in May to help lead the Real Life mission trip.
His friends Ryan & Nicole came to help him.
They have since felt called by the Lord to work with the Hogar de Nino orphanage.

They moved there, an hour south of Lima, this week.

Ricky is AIM’s
 peruano setup person.
He housed us for 2 months and helped us with our many needs since we arrived in Peru.
May the Lord richly bless him as he has us.

We already have a request to house a missionary for a few days after his return to the states enroute to his home in northern Peru.

Pastor Moises and his family will join us for dinner on Tuesday.
He is the pastor of a large church in San Salvador, Lima, and has committed to partner with the World Race Team to plant a church in Lima.

We are thrilled.

Thank you Lord for our new home and the beginnings of the AIM Peru Base!
